Debugging
Manus shows:
- The plan the agent generated.
- Each action it took.
- Each observation it received.
- Its reasoning between steps.
If an agent failed or did something weird, the trace is usually readable. This is a meaningful improvement over black-box systems.
Safety features

The honest assessment
Manus is one of the more reliable general-purpose agents in 2026. Not magic; it fails on hard tasks, requires setup for specific use cases, costs more than naive expectations. But it works well on an increasingly wide range of real workflows.
